Canister Update with Paint Pens

I do love white.  So easily it can clean up an item, minimize imperfections and unify.  Though sometimes I want just a hint of color.  The easy-to-use Sharpie paint pens are perfect for a quick update.

I used paint tape to create a clean edge and traced along the edge with the yellow pen.

Honestly the paint tape didn't do as good of job as my initial idea.  Despite the idea in my head, I still love how it turned out.  It makes for a mix of simplicity and untidiness.

For the fun of it I added hearts on the bottom and inside of lids.  A little surprise every time the lid is lifted.

After the design was drawn I cured it the same way as the paint pen mugs that I made for the groomsmen.  I placed the canisters in the oven and then set it for 375 allowing the ceramic canister to heat up with the oven.  After the oven has been on for 30 minutes I turned off the oven and allowed the canisters to completely cool down inside the oven.

Use the canisters in the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom or living room.  Instead of cotton balls or hair ties spilling all over the bath room, keep the bathroom tidy with a fresh canister.  Treat your kids with a candy jar for when they complete chores.  Fido loves treats, so keep them in a pretty canister instead of a plastic bin.

I love tea, so that is exactly what is going to be snuggled inside of these little jars of sunshine!
