Cinnamon Biscuits-Christmas Morning Tradition

Christmas morning the house is filled with happy anxiety and held breath.  Everyone is in their new Christmas pajamas just waiting to hear the first person get out of bed.  Then there is the delicious tradition my mom started of making cinnamon biscuits to eat while opening presents!  I love that woman so much!

Why these biscuits on an already busy morning?  They take like two seconds to make.  It is easy to slam out a second batch if the first batch is devoured by ravenous family.  Even if you over bake them a little they can be dunked in your morning beverage.  Finally, cinnamon and sugar brings a huge smile to everyone's face.

*Half stick of butter
*1 Roll of biscuits
*1/3 Cup sugar
*1 Tablespoon of cinnamon

Melt half a cup of butter in a bowl.  In a second bowl mix 1/3 cup of sugar and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Dip the biscuit in butter.

After the biscuits are coated in butter drop the biscuits in the cinnamon and sugar mixture and then place in the pie plate.

Bake for 8-10 minutes.  Then serve with hot cocoa, tea or your morning coffee.  Oh sooo much cinnamon deliciousness I can barely even stand it.

Enjoy the sweet cinnamon goodness in the middle of opening stockings, tearing wrapping paper and Nerf gun wars.

There isn't a single Christmas morning spent with my family that wasn't made extra special with these super quick cinnamon biscuits.  Thanks Mom!!
